The Who and How of Conscious-Cuisine
Conscious Cuisine was born from an idea of wanting to help others become healthier and happier in their lives. More and more I meet people who are frustrated with their eating habits or their doctors have told them to eat healthier and less processed foods but they are not sure what to do. Food allergies are becoming more and more common. And sometimes it's a rough adjustment if you are not sure how to substitute or think outside the box or can.
By offering in home whole food cooking classes, affordable meals, and menu planning, I am here to bring healthy food to the masses. I also understand that people are busy these days and cooking a meal from scratch every day is sometimes not that easy. Teaching people how to plan, shop, and cook easy meals is most important to lessen the frustrating parts about feeding one's family healthy food.
I personally was raised in a home serving LOTS of refined sugar and canned or boxed processed meals, not to mention a fair share of McDonald's and Pizza Hut. Diabetes, heart disease, irritable bowel, colitis, and obesity, just to name a few, run heavy in my family. My goal is to change that standard American pattern of fast food and open people's eyes to the understanding that healthy food IS easy and delicious. It is my dream to help others find a healthier path and a conscious healthy relationship with the food on their plate. I believe the body is a direct reflection of what we consume. From skin issues to cancer, along with stress, our diets play a key role in our health.
